What is the difference between a tank lining and a coating?
Simply put, a lining goes on the inside of your tank while a coating goes on the outside. Both are meant to protect your tank and the products inside of it.
The products needed will vary between industries. For instance – if your tank is just for water, your water tank lining will be very different from those who need a tank lining designed for chemical resistance. A concrete water tank that is exposed to freeze/thaw cycles or reinforced with steel and subject to corrosion will need tank linings that are engineered for that environment. If your tank is in a refinery, you’ll need linings that are designed to hold up to high temperatures amongst other things.
That’s why it’s so important to choose a professional who is well versed in many industries and can provide the best high performance products available.
What is the difference between paint & coatings?
Industrial coatings are products that are designed to last longer and provide increased protection against the elements & offer corrosion resistance. Paint is designed mainly for aesthetic purposes – it can have a minimal protective effect, but the main job of a new coat of paint is to give your clients a great first impression of your skill & professionalism.
